A fundraising event to offer more than 1,000 concerts in 2023!

April 2023 - La SAMS announces a record year exceeding 1,000 concerts for its 2023 season. Through its growing presence in Quebec's healthcare facilities, La SAMS continues to bring relief, well-being and comfort to seniors and vulnerable people, as well as to all staff working in healthcare settings. More than half a million people have been reached since its founding in 2009.

La SAMSis a thousand and one ways to break the isolation and soothe the physical and psychological ailments of some of the most vulnerable people. It is a community joined by popular concerts in CHSLDs, musical visits at the bedside in hospitals, the SAM'Chante choir for people with aphasia or Alzheimer's, and virtual activities created for seniors at home. All this with one goal in mind: to enjoy a moment of exchange in a good mood and to share sweet moments thanks to the evocative power of music.

The voice and its colorsA benefit evening with Ève Laurier and Francis Reddy
This year, La SAMS is putting the spotlight on the voice for its annual benefit event on April 18, 2023 at the Rialto Theatre. The voice that envelops, comforts, transmits and unites us will be celebrated in all its forms. The lyrical voice will be on the program, but also that of our poets and those songs that have marked us, for a festive, warm and moving evening in the image of the activities of La SAMS.

"La SAMS is particularly dear to my heart because of the way it supports and soothes our seniors and vulnerable people through the journey of music, by providing work for professional musicians. What a privilege it is for me to be the honorary chairperson of this year's La SAMS fundraiser!" - Ève Laurier, Vice President Communications, Marketing and Public Affairs, Bombardier

The event will be hosted by Francis Reddy and will feature Quartom, Rose Naggar-Tremblay, Pierre Rancourt, Charlotte Gagnon, Michèle Motard, Laurence Lambert-Chan and Estelle Lavoie, as well as a performance by the Sam'Chante Choir composed of people with aphasia and Alzheimer's.
