La SAMS live
During the winter months, every week, La SAMS its audience weekly live events on Zoom with its artists from across Quebec: authentic virtual musical encounters, from their homes, far from the daily grind. For those who love to sing, workshops are reserved for the SAM'Chante activity with singer and pianist Kristin Hoff. These concerts are scheduled during the winter, featuring solo musicians, duos, and trios playing classical, jazz, and world music. Registration is required, and the event is free! Group concerts
Our concerts are offered in CHSLDs, seniors' residences, rehabilitation centers, mental health institutes and living environments for women in difficulty. Performed by our attentive artists in classical, jazz and world music, these concerts offer all the benefits of music in 45 minutes.
Chamber Concerts
This activity is designed for residents who are unable to move about in the common areas or in the hospices. Our artists respectfully visit patients in their rooms, offering them a few minutes of musical escape. These bedside concerts are also offered in hospitals, especially for oncology and dialysis patients.
SAM'CHANTE Choir
The SAM'Chante choirs are a choral project for people with Alzheimer's or aphasia. In partnership with the Centre AVC-Aphasie Laval, the IUGM (Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal), the Maison des aînés de Chomedey and other locations in Quebec, these very special choirs are aimed at people for whom singing is not just a hobby, but a source of increased health and well-being. A call from the heart
A private call, all music, to break the isolation and let the positive vibes resonate far beyond this 100% personalized meeting. Give them the gift of a special occasion, a birthday or simply to let them know you're thinking of them. One of our artists will dedicate one or two songs to them, and take the time to "chat" with them. It's also possible to offer these calls on a regular basis to a loved one.
Outdoor concerts
As soon as the warm weather arrives, La SAMS 's professional musicians visit seniors and patients, presenting festive concerts in the courtyards or gardens of their establishments. This series of outdoor concerts is offered to CHSLDs, seniors' residences, specialized nursing homes, rehabilitation centers and HLMs in less privileged neighborhoods.
